Katie is a born and raised Kansas Citian, thrilled to be the newest streaming reporter and digital content producer at the station she grew up watching. She is committed to providing impactful and breaking news on The Live Desk. 2c60z

Katie first started at KCTV5 in April 2024 as a web desk, reporting and lifestyle intern. During her time as an intern, she learned how to hook an audience with captivating and urgent news stories.

The KC local graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Mass Media: Multimedia Journalism. During her time as a Bearcat, she was a reporter and host for KNWT-TV, Northwest’s student-run television program.

Katie’s ion for storytelling started during her first television news internship at another Kansas City TV station. There, she shadowed reporters and developed an even greater ion for her hometown.

While she’s not working, you can find Katie at the gym, shopping at local boutiques or walking her German Shorthaired Pointer, Harley. Her favorite things about Kansas City are the unique restaurants and its historic music scene.
