Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in West Bottoms

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A motorcycle crash in the West Bottoms has resulted in critical injuries for a motorcyclist.
The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department said the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation from police determined a motorcyclist driving a red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was heading westbound on W. 12th Street at a high speed when they failed to negotiate the curve at Liberty Street.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike after it slid and struck a curb. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and remains in critical condition, KD said.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
