COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Dennis Gates and the Missouri Tigers will head to Notre Dame this season as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, the leagues announced Thursday.

While game time and TV designation has yet to be announced, the ACC and SEC said Thursday Mizzou and Notre Dame will play on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Mizzou has won each of its first two games in the ACC/SEC Challenge, defeating California, 98-93, last season, and winning at Pittsburgh in 2023.

The game between the Tigers and Fighting Irish is the third announced non-conference game. Mizzou has already announced that they’ll open their season Nov. 3 by hosting Howard, and KU has already announced that this year’s matchup between the Jayhawks and Tigers will be played Sunday, Dec. 7 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Tigers will be coming off a season where they beat three top-5 teams, finished sixth in the SEC and earned a 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
