(CNN) – Authorities have arrested two men in California for allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at police officers in Los Angeles.

Federal prosecutors said 23-year-old Emiliano Garduno-Galvez threw the device from behind a fence during anti-ICE protests on Saturday.

He faces charges of attempted murder and possessing an uned explosive device.

The Department of Homeland Security said Garduno-Galvez is in the country illegally and had been previously deported.

Sunday, police arrested another man after allegedly spotting him throwing a Molotov cocktail in the air with a lighter in his hand.

Wrackkie Quiogue, 27, is also charged with possessing an uned explosive device.
