Missouri man accused of sexual misconduct after 10-year-old allegedly groped
HARRISON CO., Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri man has been charged with sexual misconduct after he was accused of groping a 10-year-old girl multiple times.
Harrison County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, June 6, indicate that Joshua E. Peake, 35, of Mount Moriah, has been charged with sexual misconduct for allegedly groping a child.
A probable cause statement filed by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office revealed that on May 18, the mother of the victim reported that on at least two separate occasions, Peake inappropriately touched her 10-year-old daughter.
Investigators at the North Central Missouri Child Advocacy Center said the child’s testimony matched her mother’s statement.
After several unsuccessful attempts to Peake, law enforcement officials said a warrant for his arrest was issued on Friday. It was served on Monday as Peake was booked into the Harrison County Detention Center with a $500,000 bond.
A bond hearing has been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12.
