KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two teens were transported to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries after striking an animal on 69 Highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it happened on US 69 about 7 miles south of Cameron, Mo.

The crash occurred when a 2020 Jeep Gladiator struck an animal in the roadway. The vehicle then crossed the center of the roadway and overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off of the east side of the roadway and overturned multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver, a 17-year-old male, and the enger, a 19-year-old male, were both taken by EMS to Liberty Hospital to be treated for their injuries. No further information has been released.
