KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man was transported to an area hospital for his injuries after his car went airborne near Warrensburg.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, emergency crews were called to the area of Missouri Highway 58 and Southwest 701st Road.

Upon arrival, first responders said that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound when it left the right side of the roadway, became airborne and landed in a ditch.

The driver, a 48-year-old man, was taken to the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by EMS to be treated for his injuries. Authorities said it is not known if the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

No further information has been released.
