Man found dead with ‘unknown injuries’ in east Kansas City apartment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, June 8, what started as a medical call turned into something much more.
Kansas City police and fire were initially called to an apartment in the Bainbridge Complex at 900 E. Armour Blvd. on a medical emergency with the caller reporting they arrived home to a man who wasn’t responding.
Police and EMS arrived at an apartment where they found a body with unknown injuries.
Homicide detectives are now investigating the death as suspicious.
Detectives are canvassing for witnesses and any additional evidence. They are working with crime scene investigators to process the scene, and the medical examiner’s office to determine his cause of death.
Police report they are hopeful neighbors will help solve the case as there are many potential witnesses.
If anyone was in this area around that time and heard or saw anything or has any information, they are asked to the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline that leads to an arrest in the case.
