Royals-Cardinals game postponed due to inclement weather

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KCTV) - Jac Caglianone is going to have to wait another day to get his first career MLB hit.
The Kansas City Royals top prospect went hitless in his MLB debut and will have to wait another day to play his second game after the St. Louis Cardinals announced their Wednesday night game against the Royals is postponed due to inclement weather.
Storms have impacted the St. Louis area throughout the day. Wednesday’s game, originally scheduled for a 6:45 p.m. CT first pitch, will now be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Thursday.
Game 1 of the doubleheader will begin at 12:45 p.m. with gates opening for fans at 11:15 a.m.
Game 2 of the doubleheader will start at 6:45 p.m. as it was originally scheduled. Gates for that game will open at 5:15 p.m.
The Royals were scheduled to have St. Joseph native Noah Cameron and left-handed ace Cole Ragans pitch on Wednesday and Thursday. The order in which the pair of starters go tomorrow remains to be seen.
Tickets from Wednesday night’s postponed game will be valid for Game 1 on Thursday, the Cardinals said in an announcement.
