Motorcyclist killed after hitting car that crossed in front on Missouri highway

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported the death of a 57-year-old Bates City, Missouri, man.
In a crash report, MSHP stated that around 3:30 p.m. on June 3, the man was driving a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on U.S. 24 Highway. Another man in a Ford F250 tried to cross US-24 on Waterloo Road and drove in front of him, causing the motorcycle to hit the truck.
The motorcyclist was taken to Centerpoint Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. MSHP said his next of kin has been notified.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash, but his vehicle was towed from the scene.
