Thousands without power as afternoon storms hit Kansas City metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Thousands of people are without power in the Kansas City metro as severe storms impact the area Tuesday afternoon.
According to Evergy, at approximately 4:30 p.m., over 12,000 customers were without power due to storm damage throughout the metro.

Outages are greatly concentrated south of I-70 and south of I-35.
