Union Pacific confirms 7-car train derailment outside Sedalia

SEDALIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Union Pacific released a statement Monday about a train derailment near Sedalia, Missouri.
According to Union Pacific, seven train cars derailed around 4:30 p.m. on June 1, about six miles northwest of Sedalia. A spokesperson confirmed that nobody was injured and no hazardous materials were released.
Cleanup is still underway, as is an investigation into what caused the derailment.
