KU’s Agbaji to host celebrity game at Legends Field in June 2025

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - A star KU alumnus is prepared to knock it out of the park alongside a host of other celebrities at Legends Field this summer.

The Kansas City Monarchs announced on Thursday, May 29, that the Legends Celebrity Softball Game will be hosted by the Young Agbaji Foundation on Friday, July 26, at Legends Field.

Monarchs leaders noted that the star-studded charity event brings together University of Kansas legends, professional athletes and celebrities for a fun-filled evening to benefit youth-focused programs ed by the Foundation.

Hosted by NBA star and KU alumnus Ochai Agbaji, the Monarchs indicated that the event promises an unforgettable night of competition. Fans will get the rare chance to watch some of their favorite personalities step up to the plate in an action-packed game at one of the region’s most iconic stadiums.

The event is expected to kick off with a pre-game celebration that features on-field appearances from Agbaji and other special guests, followed by the main event under the stadium lights. Attendees should expect surprise celebrity appearances and classic ballpark shenanigans. After the game, festivities will continue with an afterparty.
