Upgrades to canopy at KC Live! in Power and Light district near completion

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The installation of the new canopy at KC Live! in the Power and Light District is in its final stretch.

The $10 million project is expected to be completed by the end of May.

The overhead canopy includes a climate control system with heaters and misters, making it open for all seasons.

The original announcement for the new canopy was in late 2024.

These changes come just in time for the 2026 World Cup.

Other transformations in the area include updates to Mosaic nightclub and the opening of Besos y Abrazos, a new Latin dining and nightlife concept.

All upgrades have been completed in phases, allowing KC Live! to remain open.
