Royals announce Opening Day game against Cleveland is sold out
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The listed seating capacity at Kauffman Stadium is 37,903. All of those are expected to be filled to begin the 2025 season.
The Kansas City Royals announced on Friday morning that their home opener to kick off the new campaign is a sellout.
The team did note that Fountain es are still available for Opening Day.
The Boys in Blue host the Cleveland Guardians at 3:10 p.m. in less than a week on March 27. The Royals will send ace Cole Ragans to the mound, while Cleveland counters with Tanner Bibee.
The Kauffman Stadium parking lots will open at 9 a.m., and stadium gates will open to fans three hours later.

Opening Day ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., including:
- Introductions of the 2025 Royals team
- American flag ceremony held by airmen from Whiteman Air Force Base
- National Anthem performance by Branson, Missouri’s most popular act, “The Haygoods”
- Flyover from Whiteman Air Force Base A-10s
The Royals will also celebrate the accomplishments of the 2024 season with award ceremonies for Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers.
