KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - State Troopers are looking for the driver who shot a vehicle along I-29 in Kansas City during a possible road rage incident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that on Thursday, March 6, law enforcement officials opened an investigation into a shooting that happened along I-29 near Vivion Rd.

As of 1 p.m., investigators said two vehicles were hit by gunfire. Two hours later, the Highway Patrol stated that one vehicle was struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported as a result. Troopers continued to gather information from witnesses and victims to try and get a good description of the suspect vehicle.

Law enforcement officials noted that the shooter sped off after the incident. The best description currently available is a white Mercedes; however, that information is subject to change.

Further information has been promised once investigators have a clearer picture of the chain of events and the suspect.
