KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Harrison Butker is arguably the most vocal conservative voice among professional athletes in the United States. On Thursday morning, he met the leader of the Conservative Party: President Donald Trump.

Margo Martin, a special assistant to the president and communications advisor, shared a photo of the two men on social media visiting with each other in the Oval Office.

Butker established a political action committee in October, which he said had the goal of motivating Christian voters to hit the polls in November to protect Christian values at the ballot box. Butker appeared on the campaign trail for Sen. Josh Hawley, a Missouri Republican.

The Chiefs placekicker made national headlines last summer when he delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College. Butker’s speech touched on several topics, including COVID, President Joe Biden’s policies, Pride month and the role of women and men in society.

In his speech, Butker shared with the graduates on Saturday, specifically the women in attendance, how his wife has felt most fulfilled in her life being a homemaker.

When asked at Chiefs Training camp what his response is to people who interpreted his speech as putting women’s value down in the workforce, Butker responded:

In the fallout, Butker’s jersey became one of the most popular jerseys in the NFL.
