KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Charges will not be filed against a former Independence pastor and Blue Springs school board president.

A spokesperson for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office said the evidence in the case involving accusations against Bobby Hawk have been reviewed and will not be pursued.

The Blue Springs Police Department forwarded the case to the prosecutor’s office in August 2024, according to a spokesperson.

A group of woman announced a plan to sue Hawk last spring. The women claimed Hawk perused inappropriate relationships with each of the women. Some of the claims date back to the 1990s.

The women have not filed that lawsuit and previously said they were waiting to see whether criminal charges would be filed in the case.

One of the women responded to the news on social media.

“This is disgusting. HE is disgusting. My harassment from his was from 2015-2023, not at all past the ”statue of limitations," Kari Jo Crandall shared.

Hawk resigned from his elected position with the on leave pending further review. Hawk later resigned from the church.

Blue Springs police said the department opened an investigation into Hawk on June 20. Since then several more people have talked to police about the former pastor, according to investigators.

Hawk has never publicly commented on any of the accusations or his decision to resign from the Blue Springs School Board.
