CASA chair honored by NFL as 2024 Inspire Change Changemaker

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kisa Caruthers will be representing Kansas City at the Super Bowl in New Orleans next week. Caruthers was regognized by the NFL as a 2024 Inspire Change Changemaker. Only one individual in each NFL team market earns the recognition for their outstanding community impact.

Caruthers is an electircal engineer at Burns & McDonnell and was named the Chiefs’ recipient of the honor in December--and now it’s on to the big game.

Caurthers has earned the recognition for her work with Jackson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). She serves as the board chair of the organization that works to ensure children in foster care have a safe, permanent home.

As part of the recognition, Caruthers received a $10,000 donation for the NFL Foundation, which she has directed to CASA.

Caruthers is a Kansas City native, and throughout her career has worked to inspire young women in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine) fields.
