‘Epic battle’: Students at Kansas City, Buffalo schools agree to friendly wager

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Students at two elementary schools are heavily invested in what happens at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will face the Super Bowl defending Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. While the Bills have the upper hand in regular season games, the team has never beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.
Students at Kansas City’s Pitcher Elementary School hope the playoff streak continues.
Wyatt attends the elementary school. He helped rally his classmates with Chiefs trivia. He then issued a challenge to students at Olmsted Elementary in the Buffalo Public School District.
“When the Chiefs win they have to wear red and gold to school,” Wyatt says in the video. “In somehow the Buffalo Bills win, we will wear red and blue to school.”
In their own video, students at Olmsted Elementary in Buffalo popped out from behind a Josh Allen cutout to accept the wager.
“We accept your NFL challenge for the Sunday epic battle between our Buffalo Bills and your Kansas City Chiefs,” Olive, a student at the school said.
“When we win Sunday, your school agrees to wear red, white, and blue, to show its Bills love,” Carman said.
There is one additional caveat riding on the game.
The school ing the team who loses the AFC Championship Game will throw their behind the winning team. The students will appear in a video cheering on the winning team as they head to the Super Bowl next month.
