KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - For the second straight playoff week, the Kansas City Chiefs have the upper hand in the health department.

Several key contributors to the Buffalo Bills defenses were limited or non-participants in their first practice of the AFC Championship Game according to an injury report released Wednesday.

Bills All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano was one of three defenders -- and four Bills in total -- who were either limited or not participating at all. Milano was listed as a limited participant due to injuries to his biceps and hamstrings. He missed several plays during the Bills’ final defensive possession in Sunday’s 27-25 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Cornerback Christian Benford (concussion) was also a limited participant for the Bills, while left tackle Dion Dawkins (illness) and safety Taylor Rapp (back/hip) did not practice Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Kansas City’s injury report included four who were all listed as full participants. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes did appear on the injury report with the ankle designation that has followed him since he suffered a high ankle sprain in a Week 15 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Head coach Andy Reid did share Wednesday that wide receiver Mecole Hardman will remain on injured reserve due to the knee injury he suffered in late November. That means Kansas City’s 53-man roster is unlikely to change heading into Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between Kansas City and Buffalo.

That game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. CT and can be watched live on KCTV.
