Man dead, another wounded in overnight Independence shooting

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A man died in a shooting in the early morning hours on Thursday, and another man was wounded.

The Independence Police Department stated that officers were made aware of a shooting report in the 19100 block of East 37th Terrace South about 2:45 a.m.

When law enforcement arrived at the Independence Ridge Apartments, they found a man dead inside an apartment. A hospital ed law enforcement to inform them of a man who was brought to the facility suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police learned that he was also involved in the fatal shooting at the apartment.
