KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A true-crime documentary featuring the story of Kansas City Chiefs superfan and serial bank robber Xaviar Babudar, aka ChiefsAholic, is coming to a streaming platform...just in time for the holidays.

Prime Video announced that ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing will document Babudar’s rise as a prominent Chiefs fan who attended every game and fall as a man who police claim conducted a string of bank robberies.

It will premiere on Dec. 24. According to Deadline, Amazon Prime will release a teaser trailer Friday after it airs during the Kansas City Chiefs-Las Vegas Raiders football game.

In February, Babudar pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering and one count of transporting stolen property across state lines. His charges are linked to 11 bank robberies in seven states according to authorities.

Court documents show Babudar laundered much of the stolen money through area casinos and online gambling.

Babudar was first arrested on Dec. 16, 2022, following a credit union robbery near Tulsa, Okla., several days before the Chiefs were set to play in Houston against the Texans.

According to court documents, Babudar cut his ankle monitor and escaped as he awaited trial in Oklahoma. The same documents show he disappeared just days after a casino paid him $100,000 in winning Super Bowl bets he made on the Chiefs for the 2022 season.

He was on the run for months before his arrest in Sacramento, California in July 2023.

In September, Babudar was sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay millions in damages to a bank teller he threatened at gunpoint.

Babudar was also forced to surrender a signed painting of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes that the FBI recovered.
