Wichita woman arrested in Fla., accused of shooting husband while on vacation

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Wichita woman has been arrested in Escambia County, Florida, where she’s accused of shooting her husband.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the shooting Monday night at the Fairfield Inn in Pensacola Beach.

They arrived and found the woman’s husband with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies arrested 31-year-old Jacqueline King, of Wichita, in what they are calling a domestic-related incident. The couple was on vacation, according to the sheriff’s office.

King was taken to the Escambia County Jail and booked for attempted homicide. She’s being held on no bond.
