Kansas City police K-9s on patrol at Arrowhead before Monday night game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting Monday Nigh Football and the Royals are playing in Game 2 of the ALDS in New York.
The two events make Monday a monumental day in Kansas City sports history, but it’s not all fun and games.
K-9s and their handlers spent the afternoon walking around GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Kansas City Police Department shared a picture of Detective Jobe and K-9 Flick sniffing away inside the stadium to make sure it is safe for the 70,000 fans who will be at the game.

The department said Flick is trained in detecting explosives. The specially-trained K-9s spend time at the stadium before every Chiefs game and concert held there.

The K-9s and handlers go through extensive training and certification to become specialists in detecting different safety concerns and threats.
