Decades of allegations: Child sex crime charges filed against rural Missouri couple
CHILHOWEE, Mo. (KCTV) - A couple in the rural community of Chilhowee, Missouri is behind bars accused of unspeakable crimes against children over a nearly two-decade span.
Chilhowee is a bit more than an hour’s drive southeast of Kansas City in Johnson County, Missouri with a population listed of less than 300 in 2022.
Prosecutors there charged Gregory D. Arnold, 56, with three felony counts of first-degree statutory sodomy with a child less than 14 years old.
Yvonne P. Arnold, 55, is charged with one felony count of first-degree statutory sodomy with a child less than 12 years old.

According to court documents, bond was denied for both defendants to ensure the safety of the victims and community at large. They remain behind bars in a Johnson County, Missouri jail.
The details of their alleged crimes against siblings span as far back as 2005.

In court documents at least one of the minors details abuse starting at the age they began potty training.
At another point, the victims disclosed they were “tied to a wooden rocking chair” for two days in the family’s living room.
Court documents show the Johnson County Sheriff’s office took a 13-page victim statement about their abuse in May 2020 after one child came forward.
The timeline and details of the alleged crimes remain under investigation while the names and whereabouts of the alleged victims remain sealed for their protection.
