Woman accused of stealing Yeti coolers in 9 Kansas City-metro cities
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A metro woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of high-end Yeti coolers from at stores in eight metro cities.
Platte County prosecutors charged Nyia Shynell Robinson, of Kansas City, Kan., with felony theft.
The probable cause statement alleges a suspect, later identified as Robinson walked into a Parkville business on March 5, 2024. She had another person, later identified as a juvenile, with her. The store manager reported the pair took six Yeti coolers and left without paying for them. The coolers are worth about $1,450.
The manager told police that two store employees tried to stop the thieves. One of the suspects shoved an employee before leaving the parking lot with five of the six stolen coolers.
