Kansas City set to honor Chiefs safety Justin Reid with his own day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Red Monday? Kansas City, Missouri, is set to honor Chiefs safety Justin Reid for his contributions to the team and community.

On Thursday, June 13, the Kansas City, Missouri, City Council approved a resolution to dub Monday as Justin Reid Day in honor of the Kansas City Chiefs safety.

An item on Thursday’s agenda called for the declaration of Monday, June 17, as Justin Reid Day. Council wanted to recognize his contributions to the back-to-back Super Bowl Champions.

Moreover, the city said it wanted to celebrate Reid and his work in the community, especially for his efforts to boost STEM education and training for area youth.
