CLEVELAND (KCTV) - The Kansas City Royals Wednesday night matchup with the Cleveland Guardians has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The Guardians announced that Wednesday’s game, scheduled for 5:40 p.m. CT will be rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on Monday, August 26.

The rescheduled contest will begin at 12:10 p.m. CT and be followed by another 5:40 p.m. CT game for the second game of the doubleheader.

Fans who have tickets to the June 5 game can use the same ticket to enter the August 26 12:10 p.m. game, or can exchange it if they are unable to make it to the makeup game.

Kansas City lost to Cleveland, 8-5, on Tuesday night during the first game of the teams’ three-game series. It’s the first series of the season between the top two teams in the AL Central.
