KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Christmas lovers and Hallmark fans are in for a treat when this years holiday season comes around.

Right outside of Hallmark headquarters at Crown Center is the first-ever Hallmark Christmas Experience. The event will run every weekend beginning November 29 through December 30.

The Hallmark Christmas Experience will be free and open to the public. The experience will be immersive and have all the appeal of a Hallmark movie town square. On Fridays and Saturdays the event will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and one Monday, which will be December 23 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Those who attend will have the chance to meet Hallmark Christmas movie stars including Jonathan Bennett, Erin Cahill, Tyler Hynes, Ashley Williams and many more. The stars appearing depend on the weekend.

Activities at the event will be a “Holiday Hallmarket,” where fans can shop Hallmark gifts and merchandise; a Christmas Market, attendees can shop from a variety of brands including Kansas City local brands; a tree lighting and multiple light shows, the fun begins when the Mayor flips the switch to light up the tree; a festive food hall, including holiday treat favorites; a card-sending station; a Crayola community mural; a gift wrap station; festive photo opportunities; ice-skating at Crown Center and a light walk.

“Creating ways to help people celebrate and connect is at the very core of our brand DNA at Hallmark, especially during the holiday season,” said Lindsey Roy, Hallmark’s SVP, Brand Development. “We are so excited to bring this uniquely Hallmark experience to life, and can’t wait to watch people find joy and make memories together.”

For those who want to elevate their experience, tickets can be purchased for more experiences including photo opportunities with movie stars, breakfast with Santa, behind-the-scenes s, workshops with artists and more. There are two ticket packages available each with more exclusive opportunities. Tickets will go on sale on May 16 at 10 a.m.

All year long, fans can learn more about Hallmark for free at the Hallmark visitors center which is also located at Crown Center. The announcement for this Christmas experience comes after an announcement of a Christmas Cruise in November.
