KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The 2024 Chiefs home opener will be against a familiar foe.

The defending Super Bowl champions will take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5 in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game.

The last time the Chiefs played the Baltimore Ravens, they came out with a 17-10 victory and the AFC Championship on their way to the Super Bowl LVIII title.

The heavyweight bout also features the last two MVP winners: quarterback Patrick Mahomes won the award in 2022, and his counterpart Lamar Jackson earned the honor in 2023.

Kickoff at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 7:20 p.m.
